I’m Thankful™ host, Lundquist, syndicates show to reach global audience
Just two years after her inspirational book, I’m Thankful™, was published, author, motivational speaker and radio talk show host, Sue Lundquist, is gearing up to go global with her mission to inspire thankfulness.
Beginning Monday, November 2, her Seattle-based radio show I’m Thankful™ Network, Radio for Inspiration, Education and Collaboration will also become a part of CBS RADIO. In addition to being heard Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Alternative Talk 1150AM (1150AM) in Seattle, Lundquist’s show will now be simulcast to such large markets as New York, Los Angeles and Boston.
Regardless of the station her program is heard on, Lundquist’s mission to offer up a family-oriented radio show that facilitates positive growth and change by promoting open and effective communication. All told, Lundquist’s program will now be heard in five major metropolitan markets.
It has been a busy road since she wrote the I’m Thankful™ book as a freeform journal with the sole purpose the sharing of thoughts, the revealing of emotions, and the encouragement of self-expression. The book was the beginning of a road that eventually lead her to local radio.
“I hope to be a trailblazer in radio,” said Lundquist. “My intention is to create compassion and offer a safe, maintenance tool via the radio for myself and others regarding family dynamics (however this may look in your life) on parenting, contribution, health, wealth, mind, body and spirit.”
Lundquist says her program, heard twice per week on 1150AM is the only show of its kind in the Seattle market. On the air, Lundquist shares postcards from guests who write in telling her why they are thankful, interviews guests who have a motivational mission to share, and offers up a collaboration segment where she reaches out to the audience for help with a personal or professional needs expressed by other listeners.
Lundquist’s postcard mail-in campaign, along with her collaboration segment truly sets her apart because they are exclusive to her show. Lundquist uses her down-to-earth outlook and bubbly personality to spur on conversation from listeners.
“I just get so fired up when I’m able to contribute to helping someone make a positive change in their life,” said Lundquist. “I just absolutely love it.”
Lundquist offers up her own experiences of being a mother, juggling a career, and sharing a marriage in our hectic modern world. Although now content with her life, at one time Lundquist was filled with uncertainty until just a few years ago when she was reconnected with her biological mother and family. Meeting them and recreating that bond was one of the most pivotal moments in her life. Following this reunion, Lundquist decided it was important to her to share how to maintain gratitude through even the most stressful times.
I’m Thankful™ Network, Radio for Inspiration, Education and Collaboration will also soon air on AOL Radio and Yahoo Launchcast. For more information about Sue Lundquist, the I’m Thankful™ journal, her radio show or overall mission; please call 206-300-2227 or visit www.imthankful.com.

Other tips –
- in dressing for photos, avoid matching everyone’s clothing. instead, try coordinating within a color family. if all else fails, you can always trn your photos black and white!
- borrow a neighbor or a tripod and set up your photo shoot for early evening. the lighting is flattering, but still light enough that you can turn off the flash.
- rather than using a traditional “holiday photo” gather some favorite shots from throughout the year. we have many photo collage options!
Fun alternatives to the Christmas letter.
- include a favorite holiday recipe card with your holiday card (grandma’s famous peanut brittle, mom’s homemade apple pie recipe)
- share your family favorites:
– christmas carols
– holiday treats
