Amazing show lined up. We are bringing on two special guests a singers and a singer song writer…..
My family and I were downtown at Pike Place market and came a across a singer that stopped us all in our tracks. My girls have loved music for along time and this has made me more sensitive to the sounds over the past few years. So when we heard this gal at Pike Place I felt I needed to make something happen.
The I’m Thankful Network is pleased to welcome
Whitney Mongé
She is joining us to tell her her story though adversity, fear to her success in singing and song writing.
Starting from the streets of the Seattle’s Pike Place Market, emerges a young singer/songwriter with the determination and talent to take on the world. Whitney Mongé moved from Spokane to Seattle in 2007 to attend the Art Institute of Seattle for Audio Engineering. After a year, she began street performing down in the Market and has never turned back.
In 2009, Whitney released a cover album titled Walls. She began collaborating with Adrian Libertini, a bass player from San Francisco and a drummer, Wayne Porter in early 2010. They formed a band called Whitney and the Wells. The band recorded a 3 song demo and have played at various venues around the Northwest.
Whitney is focusing on her solo career. She produced and recorded an all original album, Heartbeat that was released January 15th, 2011 at Local Color, Seattle, WA. Currently, Whitney was funded through KickStarter on June 3, 2011, to create an all professional EP with “Grammy Award” winning Producer, Pete Stewart. The EP release is set to be at the end of August 2011 before she tours Europe for 3 months.
